Get Control of Your Debt
I found Undebt.it after getting abandoned by another debt-tracking software. I've been using it since September 2016.
Undebt helps you keep track of all your debt and creates a payment plan that fits with your budget. Best of all, you're not limited to one kind of payment plan. You can try the snowball and avalanche methods, or customize your own debt pay down plan.
The free version has everything you need to track your debt and get on a repayment program. If you sign up for pro, it's only $12 a year! With the pro plan, you get much more than just debt tracking and repayment.
Save Your Money
I've been using Digit since October 2015. So far Digit has saved me $1500. Whoo Hoo! And it's money I didn't even notice went missing.
Digit uses algorithms to learn the spending habits of the checking account it's linked to. Digit will save around $1.50 a day or up to $30 a week.
Sign up for free, link it to your most used checking account and let it do the saving for you. The best part is that they guarantee no overdrafts. This happened to me once and they quickly reimbursed my overdraft fee and returned the money into the account within one day. And this only happened because of an unusual spending situation that month.
You'll be happy you signed up for Digit. Plus, get $5 free when you use my link!
Thinking about starting your own small business as an online freelance writer?
Are you confused about where to start?
Start with Elna Cain's Write to 1k!
I took Elna's course in December 2015 and it was the best investment I made for my business that year!
You don't need to have a degree to become a successful online freelance writer. Elna's course teaches you everything you need to know to get a great start to freelance writing.
Elna is constantly updating the course so you always have the very best information on Freelance Writing tactics and tools. Read her case studies of people just like you who's lives have changed because of this course.
Track Your Money
Quickbooks Self Employed by Intuit, the makers of Mint, is the BEST money management tool I've purchased for my freelancing business yet!
Quickbooks is online and links to all your business banking accounts to manage all your transactions. It's like having your own personal bookkeeper who tracks your tax stuff! It tells you how much to pay quarterly based off your income.
This tool saved me this tax season! As long as your transactions are up to date and organized properly, Quickbooks will create a Profit & Loss report at the end of the year so you can easily input all needed info for your taxes.
Being the budget nerd that I am, in 2015 I gave YNAB classic a try. I gave up in epic frustration because my numbers would just not add up. Fast forward to YNAB4, their new online version and me trying it again in 2017.
This time I was determined to learn it! Turns out they have the best customer service and tutorial platform in the universe! I worked with someone over email until I got the YNAB concept. It took me two months. Turns out YNAB is it's own type of budget method unlike any other I've tried. And I've tried most of them!
This is not affiliate, just a tool that I'm hot-dog super excited about using!
When I first started my freelance business, I looked for an online bank that was free and easy to use on mobile.
I found Simple Bank. They are FDIC insured and supported by Compass bank, so you get the big-banking backing without all the fees and big-bank hassles.
I've since moved my business banking over to Spark by Capital One but I keep my Simple account because I like to transfer vacation savings to it and use my Simple debit card while traveling.
I've also found Simple to have better customer service and working features compared to Chime Bank. But to be fair, Chime is new. Let's see how they fare in a couple of years.
Be In The Know
Have you ever wished you could have all your best resources in one place?
Ever wish someone else could scour the web for you to find the very best information on things like managing a blog, running an online business, or managing a household?
Well, Amy Lynn Andrews has you covered with her Knowtbook. There is so much information packed into this constantly-updated online resource, there's no reason to waste time doing the research yourself.
I've been using her Knowtbook since January 2016.
In 2015, I was bootstrapping my blog and business so I went with the cheapest hosting I could find. That was my first big mistake.
The other company I went with had terrible service. It once took 4 hours to get someone on chat to help me. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect but I knew good service didn't mean waiting two weeks for my email to get answered.
Thankfully Grayson Bell from iMark Interactive hooked me up with SiteGround and made things all better.
SiteGround is amazing in pricing, customer service, and security. I've been with SiteGround for nearly two years and haven't had any problems. They keep me posted on security issues, automatically update my WordPress site, and even switched my websites to https for FREE. Getting someone on Chat to help is quick and they stay with you until your issue is fully resolved.
If you're looking for a new web hosting site, you can't go wrong with SiteGround. Please use my link to find out more.
SEO & Keyword Analysis
I took Ashley's SEO Success Formula course when it first came out last year. It opened my eyes to how easy SEO is to understand and use.
In this course, and his Killer Keywords course (see below), you'll learn how to write better copy to attract organic traffic from Google.
Don't let high-priced SEO "experts" dupe you into thinking this stuff is hard and that you need to pay high prices for them to "fix" your site. If you're looking to rank higher in Google pages when people search for help in your niche, this course will teach you how to do it on your own.
Ashley's above SEO course covers keywords but if you want to learn more about how to use keywords, what are some of the best keyword search tools, and how to find long-tail keywords, this course is for you.
And, if you don't even know what a long-tail keyword is, this course is STILL for you because Ashley breaks things down Barney Style (for those of you not in the military that means in a simple easy-to-understand way - something I really needed when I first started).
This one-of-a-kind course is a must for every one who owns a website.
